Things to Think About

To me, critical thinking is about discovery; the discovery of truth. This is how leaders build reputations for fairness and a personal brand that encourages open, honest dialogue, all of which delivers to them, not only quality input from a broad spectrum of sources, but highly cohesive teams.
Think about it for a moment, if the people around you know that you are guided by the belief embodied in this quote, if you demonstrate, through your actions, that this way of thinking is the guiding element to your interactions with others, what would be the impact? Would people feel more inclined to contribute to a discussion, would your team have less negative, internal competitiveness, would the quality of your decision making be enhanced, not to mention your brand?
Many leaders I work with tell me that this is the way they feel, but when they make a point of actually saying the words—frequently—and supporting them with action, it becomes a contagion in their team that dissolves silos and creates a more cohesive feeling of team. Try it and let me know how it goes for you.
Good luck on your journey!
