Things to Think About 134

“As a well-spent day brings happy sleep, so a well-used life brings happy death.”  Leonardo da Vinci

This quote may seem a little dark at first, but the more you think it through, the more it will resonate as a point of reflection and guidance, as it has been for me. The older we get the more we think about things like a fulfilled life.  Here’s the good news: a fulfilled life does not have to be one filled with material success or status. It just needs to be a life one feels they have been engaged in.

It could be gardening, wood carving, learning new languages, being immersed in one’s hobby—anything except doing nothing. We often talk about engagement in the context of employee engagement and how that leads to happier, more fulfilled employees, but we rarely apply that belief to our own lives.

Good luck on your journey!
