Things to Think About 055
"My optimism is like an old cat that likes to disappear for days, but I always expect it to return." Scott Adams, creator of Dilbert
I came across this wonderful quote while reading Scott Adams’s book How to Fail at Almost Everything and Still Win Big. In his own witty and insightful way, he has described what I think is a very realistic, and human, understanding of what a positive attitude looks like. It’s completely natural for us to be down at times, or not to feel at the top of our game. But, to understand that this is a normal cycle in life, is the key. Further, to know that your “old cat” will return is positive thinking at its best. Look around for a minute. Is your old cat there beside you, or is he on his way back?
Till next time…
