Things to Think About

“Feelings come and go like clouds in a windy sky.” Thich Nhat Hanh

Thich Nhat Hanh is the Zen Master who Reverend Martin Luther King referred to as an “Apostle of Peace”.  One of the things I like about this quote is its relevance and clarity in both good times and bad.  Think about it for a moment.  If, when you are feeling really low, or when you are flying high over something, there is a solid sense of grounding in this quote—a peaceful wisdom in knowing that soon these feelings will pass—and maybe one shouldn’t get too attached to them, or expect too much from them.

Good luck on your journey!
