Things to Think About 045
"The measure of intelligence is the ability to change." Albert Einstein
I have spoken frequently about change in my work with people over the years, and so I am always delighted to uncover quotes that speak to it. What I especially like about this particular quote from Einstein is the word “ability”. Think about that for a second. The ability to change doesn’t mean the need to change. It doesn’t mean the desire to change. It means having an open mind and the willingness, in the face of facts and, after critical analysis, to change one’s thinking—to adapt to new data. These are the people who don’t resist change out-of-hand. They examine it in their search for the truth and are open to new perspectives when warranted. These are the leaders of the 21st century. How would you rate your “ability”?
Till next time…
