Things to Think About 093

"You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with." Jim Rohn

As you look around you and consider with whom you interact most during the day, are these people you respect, admire, wish to be like, or emulate in any way? I realize that some people are more fun to be with than others. They say witting things and are a good laugh over a beer. They may even be people who are convenient to know. They give you a ride to work, or to the store, whatever. But when you think about the five people you spend the most time with in the context of actually becoming the average of them, how does that make you feel? Your life is the most valuable asset you will ever manage. Who you choose to spend time with—even at work—is your responsibility. If you manage your “asset” well, you will grow and develop as a human being, as a leader, as an example to those around you. As a disinterested third-party, would you say you are managing your asset well, in terms of who you choose to spend time with?

Good luck on your journey.

Till next time…
